Big Cottonwood Canyon
Lodging- These lodges, condos, and homes are located at the base
of Solitude and Brighton Resorts in Big Cottonwood Canyon, or within
a mile from the Solitude or Brighton Ski Resorts. NOTE: Solitude and
Brighton are next to each other on Big Cottonwood Canyon Road which
ends with a loop at Brighton. Alta and Snowbird are next to each
other in
Little Cottonwood Canyon
which is parellel ends at Alta. There is no lodging along the canyon
roads from the resorts down to the Salt Lake Valley; so you can
choose lodging right at these two ski areas or choose
lower

These 3 NEW luxury lodges make up the heart of
Solitude Village. These popular and luxurious new lodges are a quick
30-60 second walk to lifts and centered around the pool and club
solitude area. These lodges offer one, two and three bedroom
privately owned condominium units with true slope side convenience.
Each offers a luxurious atmosphere with a gas fireplace, TV/VCR,
fully equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining area, balconies,
and underground parking. Outdoor common area hot tubs and pool. These
3 lodges were Awarded Best Value for slope side lodging!

Creekside Condos: Oldest condos in the
village built around 1994, 12 units (not all avail for rent), 1 min.
outdoor walk to the pool, hot tubs, and club Solitude.
Rates: Regular Winter
Season- 1 bedroom $395/night, 2 bedroom 2 bath $520/night,
3 bedroom $695/night. Holidays rates are higher, starting April 1st,
rates are less- Call.
The Crossings: 6 smaller split level units.
Further from the lifts with a 5-6 minute walk to the lifts, three and
four bedroom moderate town homes offering some views of the lodges
& slopes of Solitude. Not
recommended for families with smaller kids-
due to road layout and snowplowing- November to May, walk to lifts is
~5 minutes, Club Amenities 3-4 minutes outside walk from pool.
Amenities include moderate interiors with fireplaces (wood not
supplied), full kitchen, TV/VCR, one car garage.
Units can sleep up to 10-14
with all double beds and sleepers maxed out, but less guests
recommended due to unit size.
Rates: Winter Season- 3 bedroom 2.5 bath $595, 4 bedroom 4
bath $649. Holiday rates are higher, April rates are
lower.
Alpine Creek Condos: Small Off mountain 1
bedroom and one bedroom plus loft units. These small one bedroom and
one bedroom w/loft condos are on a back road behind the Village, 5
minute walk to the pool area with a ~6 minutes to the lifts.
Not
recommended for families with kids- due to
road layout and snowplowing piles, November to May, walk to lifts is
~5 minutes, Club Amenities 3-4 minutes outside walk from pool.. They
offer a deck, full kitchen with slate countertops, TV/VCR, small
living room.
Rates: 1 bedroom +
loft, Winter Season $349/night, Sleeps 2-4.
The Inn: A basic 46 room hotel for moderate
slope side accommodations without services. Guest rooms and suites
TV/VCR, some with mini refrigerators. Other amenities include: a
lobby, small heated outdoor swimming pool with small hot tub,
conference room for 10, laundry access, and St. Bernard's restaurant.
Winter $249 hotel room - $329
w/ 1/2 kitchen. Holidays 12/22/06 - 1/1/07 & 1/12/07 - 1/14/07
& 2/16/07 - 2/24/07 are higher. Compare to condo Lodge rates

In Village
BABY-SITTING: Children 4 years and younger will be involved in
coloring, storytelling, playing in the snow, cartoons, a nap, and
includes lunch ($5 extra for hourly guests). A secure room in the
newly renovated Snow Sports Academy building is devoted to this
special service. Parents will be required to carry a personal
cell-phone while their children are in checked into the Academy.

Solitude
Solitude Mountain Resort has announced $7 million in lift upgrades
for the 2008-09 winter season, including two new high-speed
chairlifts commencing from each base area - Solitude Village and
Moonbeam Center.
Apex Express will replace the existing Apex double lift with a
high-speed quad and provide access to the heart of the mountain.
Another high-speed quad dubbed Moonbeam Express, will bring
Solitude's total high-speed lift count to three. The new lift will
create a faster ride, eliminating a large amount of stops per ride
due to passenger loading on a fixed grip lift.
Moonbeam Express will provide guests just learning the sport a
much easier loading and unloading experience, hopefully encouraging
them to come again and again. Solitude's goal with terrain and lift
improvements, now and into the future, is to create pockets of
terrain that are specific to ability levels, which every ability
level can appreciate
Brighton Resort
Brighton Resort has built a new day lodge called the Milly Chalet.
The lodge will be situated at the base of the Milly high speed quad.
The new $1.5 million facility is approximately 3,500 square feet and
will provide guests a comfortable place to rest when skiing in the
Millicent area.
